Network and Programme Manager at Good Homes Alliance
Julian has spent over three decades in the construction industry working in the private, public and charitable sectors, he has been actively involved in environmental/construction issues since the mid 90s, has co authored two publications on sustainable construction, was a qualified BRE EcoHomes/Code Assessor, jointly won a CIOB International Innovation & Research Award for his work on daylight/sunlight modelling software, was a CABE (now Design Council) Enabler and runs his own Built Environment Energy/Sustainability Consultancy. Julian was also the 1st Project Manager for the Somerset Trust for Sustainable Development (Ecos Trust) and Chairman of Ecos Homes. Notable work includes producing the Sustainability Strategy for the new town of Sherford, near Plymouth and planning the iconic eco development of Great Bow Yard in Somerset. As Network & Programme Manager for the Good Homes Alliance Julian champions the cause of Quality in New Housing through education, research and campaigning. The GHA has over 70 members including Developers, Planners, Urban Designers, Architects, Local Authorities, Consultants, Suppliers and Academic Bodies.
